18 Jul 27th Annual Empty Bowls
Save the date! October 18, 2019
Empty Bowls is truly a community effort to raise funds for El Caldito. As they do each year, Las Cruces Potters’ Guild members make more than 1,000 bowls for the event, local restaurants donate gallons of soup, NMSU students collect the soup, Sam’s Club donates the drinks, St. Paul’s United Methodist Church offers its facilities, and El Caldito kitchen volunteers serve the public their “soup kitchen” lunch. Even the live music and the potter’s clay are donated. Many willing hands are required to make the event the success it has been in the past.
Invite your friends for this laid-back event where we raise funds to support our ongoing programs and services dedicated to alleviating hunger in Las Cruces. Each ticketed guest will take home a beautiful handmade bowl crafted by a local artist to remember those who do not have enough to eat in our community.
